Trump, Humiliator-in-Chief

Key to understanding Trump's firing of FBI Director Comey is the execution's timing and weapon of choice:

Trump waited until Comey was 3,000 miles away on the West Coast, then sent a firing letter to FBI headquarters hand-carried by Trump's former personal bodyguard who now has a White House job.

Comey reportedly found out about his dismissal when the news flashed across TV screens in the meeting room where Comey was doing his job.

Gotcha!

Nice.

But you have to remember that this formerly all-powerful private sector CEO, TV show host-with-the "You're fired!" tag line and loud, nasty campaigner relished embarrassing and humiliating people.

*  He reduced New Jersey Gov. and early supporter Chris Christie to personal McDonald's carryout delivery boy, shut him out of serious Vice-Presidential consideration and then fired him as campaign transition chairman.

*  He gave primary rivals humiliating nicknames, mocked the physical appearances of Carly Fiorina and Ted Cruz's wife and even accused Cruz's father of being involved in the assassination of President Kennedy.

*  He insincerely dangled the job of Secretary of State in front of Mitt Romney, then made sure a glum Romney would be photographed with a plate of unappetizing frogs legs during a post-election dinner Trump had choreographed where no job offer was ever intended to be made.

Let's face it. Trump gets off on turning people into chumps and grinding them into the ground.

He probably the behavior makes him the tough guy he imagines he sees in the mirror every morning, but it's more a measure of deep insecurity, and hardly Presidential.
