He was a gendarme of the Belgian security services, name still not released.
The gendarme's brother reported the confession, and another man, Marc van Damme, who knew the gendarme from the sport shooting range, reported him to authorities as a possible Gladio killer based on the gendarme's own extremist statements calling for a coup.
After van Damme made his report, he was intimidated at home by a car every day for a week.
