I am not making this up.
Our hyper-partisan Governor who is used to ruling imperiously across our one-party, GOP dominated state is taking his self-serving and self-preserving contempt for constitutional government and voting rights to a new level of open arrogance by asking the same court which has ordered him to call special elections he's refused to schedule since late last year for a dangerously absurd precedent and favor:
Walker wants the judge to delay her order for a week - - giving his legislative hench-people time to create a new law to negate the judge's order, and, worse, to absolve Walker and future governors of the existing obligation to call these special elections so citizens are not without representation for unnecessarily long periods.
This bid to the judge to basically void her ruling and authority would be like having someone already ordered to court for having stolen your purse, and with your keys in his hand, asking the trial judge for a week's trial delay so the thief has enough time sell your car, burglarize your house, max out your credit cards, steal your identity and skip town.
