A teenage boy strangled his mother and buried her body under a church fire pit - because they argued about him getting a D grade at school.
Gregory Logan Ramos then asked his friends to stage his house to make it look like his mother, Gail Cleavenger, 46, had disappeared during a break-in.

The 15-year-old, who has been branded a 'soulless sociopath' by a police chief in DeBary, Florida, has now confessed to his crime.
He is believed to have argued with his architect mum about the bad grade until 11pm on Thursday night, before waking her up only to kill her at 12.30am.
Gail Cleavenger was strangled by her son |
Sheriff Mike Chitwood said: "He went into her room and began strangling her and strangled her till he killed her."
He used a wheelbarrow to load her body into the family van and buried her beneath a fire pit at River City Church, in his home town of DeBary, Florida, U.S., before going to school.

Ramos then enlisted the help of two of his friends, Dylan Ceglarek and Brian Porras, 17, to make his house look like a crime scene.
They kicked the door in, took items from the house and left the van's engine on to make it look authentic, even removing a PlayStation from the house.
Ceglarek and Porras are both being held in custody.
Brian Porras helped his friend pretend a burglary had been committed |
At 3.50pm on Friday, he called 911 to report the fake burglary, but detectives soon became suspicious.
He told detectives his mother had dropped him off at school that morning, but her colleagues at her architect firm said she had not showed up at work.
Police later found items including a PlayStation 4, computer, shovel, rifle and a broom used to tidy the area where the mother was buried, to corroborate the story.
Her body was exhumed from the fire pit on Saturday.

He found out about her death when he returned home on Friday night.
In a press briefing, Sherrif Chitwood said: "He is a soulless individual who thought he was going to outsmart everybody in this room.
"To watch how cold and callous and calculating he was, I think was probably the most shocking thing of all for us.
"No remorse whatsoever.
"It is one of the most disturbing and saddest cases I've seen in my career."
Ramos is being held at the Department of Juvenile Justice in Daytona.
