As I wrote recently, repeated games of "chicken" are situations in which the first round is determinative. If you swerve first, you ensure that your opponent drives in all subsequent rounds. Trump just swerved, thereby guaranteeing that Pelosi drives on the debt ceiling.
One of two things happens if Trump is foolish enough to follow Graham's beyond-stupid advice. Trump humiliates himself again, or he destroys the financial underpinnings of the economy.
