Brief comments on Romney versus Trump

OK, just a few mid-week comments on the Battle Royale (with cheese) between these two paragons of sincerity and unwavering support for core principles.

1.  No elected Republican since Trump's nomination has done more than make a few trifling comments.  None have ever seriously done anything to challenge him, and Romney won't be the first.

2.  Remember when Romney was a so-called "leader" of the so-called "neverTrumpers?"  Remember how Trump got revenge by dangling the Secretary of State job in front of him like Lucy Van Pelt putting the football in front of Charlie Brown?  Remember how Romney was dumb enough to fall for it, and grovel, as though there had been any chance it was anything more than a stunt to make that little shit grovel like the unprincipled twerp he is?

3.  That tells you how strong his opposition to Trump was then, and is now.

4.  That tells you what Romney will do.

5.  Remember how all of the GOP Senators who even made noise about disliking Trump were retiring or dying?  Flake, Corker and McCain.  Romney won't be up again until 2024, by which point, Trump should, theoretically be off the main stage.  Should.  Presidential term limits.  Romney really shouldn't fear Trump, but then again, even after Corker and Flake made their retirement decisions, they still didn't do anything serious to oppose Trump.  Romney will be the same.  (Side note:  Utah has weird nominating rules that give power to state party officials.  Remember Bob Bennett.)

Trump will beat Romney into submission.  Then, he'll strap that little shit to the roof of a car, and drive a few hundred miles with that fuckin' coward puking his guts out into the wind.  At least that part will have some justice to it.  I may not like people, but I like dogs.
