I hazarded some brief comments yesterday on the Buzzfeed story that Mueller has documents showing that Trump told Cohen to lie to Congress. Mueller now says that the story is inaccurate. Meaning... what? Who the hell knows? The gist of yesterday's "brief comments" post was that the world is too crazy to contemplate anyway, and my observation in that section was that no matter what, Trump won't be impeached. I stand by that latter point. What's the real story with whatever Mueller has? Who knows? However, from Trump's standpoint, it won't matter. He is in no legal danger. He cannot be impeached. The GOP has not only more than 1/3 of the Senate, they have a majority. The probability of conviction in the Senate, no matter what Mueller has, is a precise mathematical zero. It doesn't matter what Mueller has.
