Saturday music: If you don't love country, you hate 'mer'ca

You probably don't understand this band.  This one is from the Clarence White era.  Clarence White helped invent a gizmo called the B-bender, which was a modification to the Telecaster electric guitar to bend the B-string on the guitar to mimic the sound of a pedal steel, and give you that twangy slide sound.  Great for country music.  Yes, that's also Clarence White, formerly of The Kentucky Colonels, the great flatpicker.  Clarence White was a genius.

Here are The Byrds, with "You Ain't Goin' Nowhere," from Sweetheart of the Rodeo.  Not what you had in mind for the band, right?  Clarence White.  Genius.
