Saturday music: If you don't love country, you hate 'mer'ca

With too much craziness, I couldn't settle on a theme for today's music post, so instead, here's something for fun with no reference to anything.  Jim Hurst has a solid claim to the title of "Greatest Guitarist Alive."  He plays a lot of bluegrass, but here he is with a tribute to country legend, Jerry Reed.  Jim Hurst, with a live rendition of "Swamp Reed."  Some guitarists just blow me away with techniques that I can comprehend but could never master, no matter how much I practiced.  Hendrix, Stevie Ray Vaughan, guys like that.  Then, there are the players who are just so far beyond me, conceptually, that I can't even comprehend what goes on in their heads when they're playing.  Jim Hurst is in that latter category.

For no reason at all today, Jim Hurst.
