Someone decided to launch a massive DDos attack on the site and it is down right now. This is the first time that we have been down in 17 years for more than one hour. I am now putting up a mirror site that will circumvent this attack and bring everything back online. I calculate I will be finished in the next 3 or 4 hours, and I will then be free to start posting stuff on WNU.
Am I pissed with all of this. Definitely.
Bookyards is a free online library that students and teachers around the world use to download ebooks. We put up this site after 9/11 because we wanted to bring something positive to a world that needed it (and still needs it). Why anyone should attack this site is beyond me. (And no, it has nothing to do with WNU. I keep these web projects separate from each other).
So please be patient. This should not take me too long.
