Guinea Officially Declares A New Ebola Outbreak

 


Guinea's Health Ministry has now confirmed a new outbreak of the rare but deadly virus that causes fever, aches, diarrhea, and sometimes bleeding. 

DR Congo has also reported cases. 

The government of Guinea officially declared a new outbreak of Ebola on Sunday. The official confirmation of the outbreak comes after several cases were identified in the West African country. 

The head of Guinea's health agency, Sakoba Keita, said the country was experiencing an Ebola "epidemic situation."
