EU Imposes Sanctions On Four Chinese Officials Over Xinjiang Abuses

 


The European Union has agreed to sanction China for human rights abuses against the Uyghurs in the country's northwestern Xinjiang province. 

The European Union agreed on Monday to sanction China for human rights abuses against the Uyghurs at a foreign ministers meeting Monday in Brussels. 

Four regional and party representatives, as well as a construction firm from Xinjiang province, were added to the EU sanctions list, with their names published in the EU Official Journal.

WNU Editor: Only four officials and the Xinjiang Public Security Bureau (PSB) are sanctioned. These sanctions are a joke. The Chinese leadership who are responsible for what is happening in Xinjiang province are being left alone.
