At the same time, Americans' reports of the extent to which the pandemic has disrupted their lives, and their predictions for how long the disruption will last, remain steady.

WNU Editor: It is too early to be optimistic. Almost 2,000 Americans are dying everyday, and in the past week there has been a spike in infections. But what has changed in the past 4 to 6 weeks is the media narrative. In January, I had no problems in finding U.S. Covid-19 news stories to post on this blog. Since then .... much of the coverage has been downgraded with the focus more on vaccinations and state governments removing restrictions. Little if any coverage on death tolls, hospitalizations, etc..
