Prince William Defends The Monarchy Against Racism Accusation In First Remarks Since The Harry-Meghan Oprah Interview

 


 * Duke of Cambridge is the first royal to personally respond to the allegation during his first royal engagement 
 * Defended his family's reputation after being asked by Sky News reporter, 'Is the Royal Family a racist family?' 
 * When asked whether he had spoken to his brother, William said: 'No, I haven't spoken to him yet but I will do' 
 * Claim a royal raised concerns about Archie being 'too brown' was most damaging allegation in the broadcast 
 * Also first appearance for Kate after Meghan claimed she made her cry and discussed strained relationship 
 * The Cambridges were visiting School2 in east London to promote a children's mental health programme 

An impassioned Prince William today publicly hit back against Harry and Meghan's racism claims, insisting, 'We're very much not a racist family'. 

The Duke of Cambridge is the first royal to personally respond to the allegation during his first royal engagement since the Oprah interview, as he also revealed that he has not spoken to his brother since it came out but 'will do'. 

Meghan's claim that an unnamed royal raised concerns about Archie being 'too brown' was the most damaging allegation to come out of the broadcast, and caused untold damage to the Windsors' reputation around the world.

WNU Editor: So much for Prince William obeying the Queen's remarks that this will be addressed privately. But I understand why he is upset. After his sister-in-law inferred that someone in the Royal family was concerned about her grandson's "colour", but not naming who that person is, she had  effectively put a cloud of racism over the entire Royal family, Prince William included.
