Bomb Threat Locks Down U.S. Capital Hill For A Few Hours. Suspect In Custody

 

CNBC: North Carolina man surrenders after Capitol Hill bomb threat that forced evacuation of surrounding area 

* A North Carolina man surrendered to police hours after saying he had a bomb while parked in his truck outside the Library of Congress on Capitol Hill. 

* The suspect, 49-year-old Floyd Ray Roseberry, got out of his black pick-up truck after an hours-long standoff that had lead to the evacuation of the library, the Supreme Court, a House office building, and the offices of the Republican National Committee. 

* The U.S. Capitol Police Twitter feed warned people to “please stay away from this area.” 

A North Carolina man surrendered to police Thursday hours after saying he had a bomb while parked in his truck outside the Library of Congress on Capitol Hill. 

The suspect, 49-year-old Floyd Ray Roseberry, got out of his black pick-up truck after standoff that lead to the evacuation of the library, the Supreme Court, a House office building, and the offices of the Republican National Committee. 

Roseberry, who most recently lived in Grover, North Carolina, posted several videos online while sitting in his truck.
