I singled out Will Hurd for special praise. He was the guy who actually seemed to care about election security and Russian meddling more than running interference for the guy who benefited from it.
He's retiring.
In contrast, have you been following the news on Lindsey Graham? Short version: Doing Trump's bidding now means locking the Democrats out of legislative action in the Senate, and since Graham has turned himself into Trump's most loyal, little pet, that's what he's doing.
Lindsey Graham has a future in the GOP. Will Hurd doesn't. Hmmm... There's a lesson here, I think...
