Because Foxconn is said to be considering the sale in China of the same kind of big-screen factory now in doubt in Wisconsin despite many millions of taxpayer dollars already spent here on land and highway access in Racine County - - and for which more taxpayer billions have been pledged by the GOP-led Legislature at the behest of defeated Republican Gov. Scott Walker.
Who knows if the sale in China of a brand new plant close to being opened is a casualty of Trump's trade war, an indication that Foxconn production will expand in the US for the same reason, or is just another sign that the market is already flooded with large, flat panel production and Wisconsin is on the hook for yesterday's pig in a poke.
