America's Allies Are Now Fearing That US Forces May Pull Out Of Kabul Airport Within Days

This is the scene at the city entrance to the airport in Kabul. It is being controlled by the Taliban and US forces are on the inside but the people waiting to fly out can't get through the fighters at the front, and are being given no help by the State Department  

The Guardian: Britain fears US forces may pull out of Kabul airport within days 

Exclusive: Whitehall and security sources worry they will not be able to continue emergency evacuations 

Britain fears US forces may pull out of Kabul international airport within days, putting it at risk of closure and raising concerns over the emergency airlift of thousands of people from Afghanistan. 

Whitehall and security sources said they could not guarantee how long the US would keep its contingent of 6,000 troops on the ground and cautioned that the UK could not continue the rescue without their presence. 

They also indicated Britain was not engaging with the Taliban directly over security or other issues after the militant group seized the Afghan capital.

WNU Editor: I hope to God this does not happen. If the U.S. does not consult with its allies and pulls out in the next few days before the UK, Germany, France, Australia, Holland, and other Western allies are able to get their civilians out, the diplomatic explosion and anger that it will cause between the U.S. and its allies will be unprecedented.
